3 Country Pubs To Take Your Dog To

dogs day out

The White Hart, Stockbridge

Stockbridge will always be one of my fave little villages to visit. It has the perfect common to let your pup have a real leg stretch. It even has a little section of the river for them to paddle in. It’s the perfect dogs day out! Things can get a little muddy though…

I had my eye on The White Hart for ages before we finally visited, and I’m so glad we did. For a start, the human’s are taken care of with a delicious local menu. Bear was more than welcome to snooze away under our table whilst we ate, and indulge in a treat or two from the bar.

Bourne Valley Inn

Another of my faves for human food, the Bourne Valley Inn love hosting a pup or two. Watch ya’self, there is even dog beer on offer here. Along with biscuits on the bar, your pup can really indulge at the Bourne Valley Inn. And I’m fond of a Scotch Egg or two in this little gem…

Another cosy little countryside nook that offers a doggie bar. Except this one is of the water variety, and features a cheeky little reminder that there should be no heavy petting at the bar. We took Bear here when he was a young pup as we celebrated my birthday in a private dining room. He was able to roam free and spend time with us like the little family member he is.

I would definitely encourage you to visit one of these little beauts, dog in tow or not. The human food is great, and the Insta opportunities are a plenty!

I’m on the hunt for more quirky dogs day out spots, so please do let me know if you have any recommendations.
