Imagine you could sleep in a hotel forever. Sounds like heaven, ay? When you think about it, despite the holiday you might have once a year, a few nights away with family, perhaps the odd cheeky weekend away, you spend well over 300 nights per year in your own bed. So surely that’s reason enough to want to create a sleepy little sanctuary to catch your z’s in each night. Imagine spending what you would spend on one night in a hotel on your bedding (duvet, pillows, mattress topper…) at home. Whatever it is, just think about that cost per use and I bet it will be the best decision you have made in a long old while. Consider it an investment. In your beauty sleep. FYI mine is from Next, but I have got my eye on a whole bundle of heaven from Soak&Sleep.
Grey is my absolute fave colour to create a calm atmosphere, and I am so glad we went a little bit darker in the bedroom. Bedside tables are actually a bit of a bug bear of mine. Gathering dust and a place for my husband to leave out all the crap he can’t be bothered to find a home for. Ah well, these unoffensive numbers from IKEA will do me until I gather the courage to completely get rid.
I’m still dreaming of my walk in wardrobe (one day!), but for now, these IKEA space savers are an absolute godsend. The clothes hang facing you, saving us an extra few inches that we really didn’t have.
I love to make my house a home, little touches here and there to show my style, but I also don’t like to spend an absolute fortune. That’s why this babin’ mirror from Amara felt like a mini splash out, but it literally makes me so happy every time I see it. Plus I’ve kept this plant alive for months now!
You know I love a DIY, and this simple canvas is another bit of my handiwork. A couple of tester pots and a canvas and I am off.
